Was Jesus.. Woke? The Truth Shall Set You Free.. (EP008)

These days, the term “woke” is often used in a deragatory manner, as if it were an insult.  Which is rather odd, considering the word is defined as a state of awareness achieved by sensitive individuals who have empathy for the plight of others, especially those suffering injustice and oppression.

In this episode, we explore the life and teachings of the Middle Eastern mystic known as Jesus (aka Yeshua), and challenge some of the conventional narratives atributed to him in light of the stories and records which have been handed down through the ages.

The Bible is full of examples of Jesus healing people for free, feeding the poor, defending foreigners and the ostracized, and speaking out against judgement, authoritarian control, and religious hypocrisy – quite possibly making him the epitome of “woke”, and the exact opposite of what MAGA and Project 2025 stand for today.

Whether you’re still in the church or stepping out on your own path of spiritual liberation, this episode is here to spark a little thought, inspire curiosity, invite you to choose Love over fear, and to remind us that the kingdom of Heaven truly does lie within.
